Cliche Rhetoric(Why Do You Want to Fit In?)

There’s only one you
And if no one else likes you, I do.
Why do you want to fit in?
You’re not comfortable within your skin?
Why do you let them steal your smile, your grin?
You figure, “If I’m a copy, I’ll be happy.”
Originality is a fatality to you.
You figure, “If I don’t fit in, I’ll be blue.”
Your separation is not a mistake, make that your declaration.
If you’re always a follower you’ll get lost,
But if you’re a leader you’ll find your cause
In spite of your flaws.
Stop trying to fit on a box you don’t belong to.
In reality, you don’t know her
And she doesn’t know you.
Stop trying to fit into a size 6 shoe,
When you know you’re an eight.
Don’t wait until tomorrow to be your best you.
Be that today.
Because tomorrow isn’t promised and everyday is a gift.
Why do you want to fit in?
Because you’re outside
And you want to hide the inner dork you are on the inside
But you can’t,
Because you asked the genie to grant your validation wish
Prayed on your knees to not be seen as an outcast or a dirty dish.
That was your wish,
That was your wish,
That was your wish.
Why do you want to fit in?
Validation is the key to what?
The key to the door that is your high?
The high you use to get by,
What are you trying to prove?
What are you trying to move?
The highest of highs is the high that is in the sky.
Greater than you and I.
Things happen and we don’t know why,
But there is security in knowing that the highest of highs is the high that is in the sky
Why do you want to fit in?
